Cruising rivers in Europe and Asia today is becoming more popular each season.  They are usually frequented by individuals who have traveled to the majority of global destinations and are now looking for that more intimate relationship with a destination. River cruises typically cover a lesser range of distance than ocean-going vessels.  Traveling at a lower rate of speed provides you an opportunity to linger longer through the countryside.  The ship also provides you the same type of hotel experience as an ocean cruise.
